Econlockhatchee River

I did a car-bike shuttle between the bridges at Snowhill Road and County Road 419.

After a 5 mile bike ride, I was on the River at 9:50.

Last time I did this paddle, I capsized while landing to portage around some fallen trees. There were no obstacles today.

Alligators, with the exception of babies as in the opening photo, were in the cool River water, not sunning in the 90 degree heat.

Stopped for lunch at the Flagler Trail Bridge

Walked a mile on the Florida Trail.There were a lot of hikers out on a hot day.

This trail bridge is new to me.

The broader span over the River was built just before I first paddled the Econ, 20 years ago.
